Governance & Compliance

Our Commitment to Standards

Governance at the Core of Execution

At Argentil Capital Partners Limited, governance is not a compliance checkbox, it is the foundation of every client relationship and every transaction we execute. We hold ourselves and our subsidiaries to the highest standards of regulatory compliance, ethical conduct, and institutional transparency.

Regulatory Standing

Argentil Capital Partners Limited and its subsidiaries operate within a fully regulated framework governed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria (SEC). Our licensed entities hold the following regulatory authorisations:

  • Corporate Investment Adviser licence (SEC)
  • Issuing House licence (SEC) — authorising the management and issuance of securities
  • Fund Manager registration (SEC)

All subsidiaries comply with applicable Nigerian financial services legislation, including the Investments and Securities Act (ISA) and relevant SEC rules and regulations.

ESG & Ethics

Argentil integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into its advisory and investment decisions. We work with clients to identify and manage ESG risks within transactions, and we actively support investments that deliver measurable development impact alongside financial returns.
Our Corporate Governance practices are overseen by our Executive Director of Corporate Services, who provides strategic guidance on incorporating ESG factors across both existing and pipeline projects.

Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance

Argentil maintains robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) frameworks across all entities. We assess all potential clients and transactions for regulatory risk, reputational exposure, and controversial affiliations in line with SEC requirements and international best practice.
